AquaTablet: The Underwater Robot

AQUATablet is a remote-controlled robot that can receive and carry out commands while underwater. The robot interaction device is designed to be operated by a diver. The diver can be tethered to the underwater bot or in visual contact with the bot. Water interferes with radio signals, so the developers created a unique way to communicate by using the bot's cameras.

The Daily Mail reports that the divers can program the tablet to display barcode-like tags on-screen. The robot's on-board camera can scan these tags to receive and carry out commands.
