Our shopping section was so popular that it really needed more space, so we are proud to announce the launch of TradersTrade.com, a new website and newsletter for people who buy, sell and trade online. The HowToWeb Shopping Guide was upgraded, renamed and moved to TradersTrade.com, and can now be found at: http://www.traderstrade.com/marketplace/ HowToWeb.com will now focus on its core competencies: providing news, features and resources for computer, graphics and web professionals. TradersTrade.com now has its own newsletter: The Traders Trade Update. New Websites Amazon In Theatres http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/562436/ Amazon In Theatres, a new service from Amazon.com, offers personalized movie theater showtimes based on a customer's ZIP code and customer and editorial reviews of films currently in movie theaters. TradersTrade.com http://www.traderstrade.com TradersTrade.com is an online resource for people who buy, sell and trade online. Traders Trade provides news and resources about online shopping and trading, discussion, classifieds, a monthly email newsletter and an extensive online marketplace with over fifty distinct categories. iApplianceWeb http://www.iapplianceweb.com/ iApplianceWeb will provides news and industry commentary on the technologies, companies and applications in this portable appliance market. The website will also include the Appliance Directory, a resource for comparing device specifications on devices ranging from Wireless Gateways to Web tablets. Efashion.com http://www.efashion.com Efashion, an online source for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content, has launched a search engine for fashion. The site's search technology contains over 1,000,000 indexed fashion webpages. The site, updated daily, combines original fashion content, info on hot trends and celebrity gossip from fashion news sites, historical fashion data and links to shopping destinations. Metanexus.net http://www.metanexus.net/ Metanexus is a new resource for dialogue on fiercely debated science and religion issues. Metanexus.net will serve as an online epicenter in contemporary discussions between scientists, theologians, philosophers, clergy, and the general public on diverse topics from the microcosmic to the macrocosmic, from the biophysical sciences to the human sciences, and from the metaphysical to the ethical. Amsale Woman http://www.amsalewoman.com Bridal and evening wear designer Amsale Aberra has launched a new lifestyle magazine-amsalewoman.com. Amsale Woman offers features and commentary on weddings, fashion and the lives of modern American women. Amsale Woman also provides information on planning a wedding and living a fashionable life. Webmaster News Sexiest Geek Contest Are you the sexiest Geek in the Universe? Yes? Then throw yourself into the mix at: http://www.sexiestgeekalive.com. Don't even bother entering unless you look like a Geek, have a geeky job and regularly attend Star Trek conventions. AOL Raises Rates AOL, the easy-to-use, but seldom-loved ISP has raised rates by $1.95 per month to $23.90. Even if you don't use AOL, this could give your ISP the excuse to raise rates as well. Buddy Lists to Become More Powerful Expect new features like stock quotes, weather, news and possibly ads to come to you via Instant message in the near future. CNET has more. More Domain Names. More Chaos. There are more domain names coming. Two new Internet suffixes are now available to trademark holders: .biz names are being sold by NeuLevel and .info names will be sold soon by Afilias. Both registrars will offer domains to trademark holders first, before opening up to the general public. Later this year, aero, .coop, .museum, .name and .pro suffixes will be made available. NeuLevel (.biz): http://www.neulevel.com Afilias (.info): http://www.afilias.com Google Adds Usenet Archives and Posting Google, which suddenly took over the Usenet archives for Dejanews in February, has since implemented full archive searching back to 1995 and online Usenet posting. These services were not available when Google first purchased Dejanews -- frustrating regular Usenet users. http://groups.google.com/ The Web is Better Than Magazines A study found that for personal and special interest information needs, 63 percent of survey respondents chose the Internet compared with just 18 percent who chose magazines; for work-related information, 48 percent selected the Web as their favorite source while only 7 percent preferred magazines.
