NiaOnline has launched as an online community and resource for African-American women aged 21-54. NiaOnline takes its name from the Fifth Nguzo Saba, or social and spiritual principle of Kwanzaa. NiaOnline allows African-American women to read essays, interact with celebrities, and access the opinions of other African-American women through chat rooms, message boards, live videos, email and electronic newsletters.

Worth.com has announced the launch of its portal targeting the wealth market -- people in the U.S. with investable assets of $500,000 or more. Specifically, Worth.com will focus on three core content areas: wealth, living and giving. The wealth section will offer financial tools and content for investors. The living section will offer content and resources about travel, food, art, entertainment, culture and style, and the giving section will provide information about philanthropic and community interests.

Yahoo Inc., a web directory and media company, has announced the launch of Yahoo Experts, a free question and answer service that enables people to find information or share their knowledge on a special topic. Users can sign up as an expert on Yahoo Experts by browsing through a directory of categories and filling out a form explaining their expertise and background. The user profiles of each expert include this background information as well as a complete archive of the responses each expert has offered and ratings given by other users. The "expert" users are prioritized based on the ratings they have received.

Nerdworld Media has launched Nerdworld.com, a website about nerd culture for the nation's growing nerd community. Nerdworld.com celebrates nerd lifestyle and popular culture, including nerd work, fashion, dating, cooking, sports and entertainment. The site also features nerd chat rooms and assemblies, Nerd IQ Tests, bookmarking and calendar services, and a Nerd store.
