Compete is a new website that offers traffic data about websites. By selecting the snapshot option you see the data Compete is providing. It includes information like the number of visitors, average stay, pages viewed and the site's rank in the Compete system. Compete also includes a comparison tool so you can compare domains. Below is a graph from Compete.com that outlines the major differences between the two services. One of the biggest differences is that Compete gathers data only from the United States where as Alexa is International. Another major difference is that Compete includes estimates for unique visitors.
Like Alexa, Compete also offers a downloadable toolbar that will provide information about the websites you are looking at as you browse the Web.
