Amazon Acquires Kiva Systems for $775 Million

Amazon.com, Inc. has announced plans to acquire Kiva Systems, Inc., a developer of robotic package handling technology. Kiva Systems' headquarters will remain in North Reading, Massachusetts.

The Kiva Systems division has now been named Amazon Robotics.
